Introducing Arvo, my new puppy-in-law! We Skyped last night, and he was totally sweet. I can't wait to meet him in person.

Ok, very cute dog. Did you know that Arvo is Afternoon in New Zealand? :) As in "See you Saturday arvo!" They shorten things in weird ways with "o" on the end.

In this case, he named after the Estonian conductor, who (to bring things full circle!) is currently music director and chief conductor of the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra.
