I used Boston Organics for a few months some years ago and decided it wasn't for me. I didn't find it cost-effective and the excitement for me just wasn't the same as for a farm share. I found that I would rather do my own shopping in the off-season.
This was before the Dogma box, but I imagine that in winter, it would feel either too same-y week on week, or I'd roll my eyes at the "as local as we could" parts.
But that doesn't mean it wouldn't be great for someone else. We also live a short walk to the Winter Market, which makes for a nice Saturday morning activity. Plus I have so much put by from harvest season that I enjoy the opportunity to use it.
I have considered a small fruit box for deep winter just to ensure decent fruit variety.
