For Sale: FoodSaver Vac 550 - $35

I just bought myself a newer model so I'm ready to part with my previous FoodSaver. It's white, full-sized (takes up to 11" bags) but very compact, and includes the hose attachment. I'll also include a full roll of 8" bag stock and some extra pre-cut bags. Note that it is compact because it doesn't have all the features of the newest models (neither does the one I just got -- they're not all preferable) and is a little more manual. On the plus side, this translates to much greater efficiency in terms of bag usage.

If you like to freeze, one of these is especially great to have. Let me know if you're interested.

[ETA: There is a claimant and a backup. Further updates as events warrant.]

If you don't end up having a use for the hose attachment mentioned, we might be interested in it. We have the canisters that it attaches to, but I just noticed when I went to use one last week that our hose has been lost. At least, I think they're the same kind of attachment - some models may be different.

I'm curious about the hose attachment - doesn't that require their canisters to work with it? You didn't mention them being included.

I ask because I have the FoodSaver and the canisters, but the hose attachment has been lost.

Yes, or any of various accessories they sell. The ones I use the most are the mason jar thingies, which make the canisters somewhat obsolete. This particular appliance didn't come with any canisters.

I was going to suggest asking Michel... but I see you already have. :)
