A new member of the family

Something to make you smile, no matter how crappy a day it might be. (And if it's already a good day, even better.)

Introducing Arvo, my new puppy-in-law! We Skyped last night, and he was totally sweet. I can't wait to meet him in person.

Ok, very cute dog. Did you know that Arvo is Afternoon in New Zealand? :) As in "See you Saturday arvo!" They shorten things in weird ways with "o" on the end.

Australia as well (though I don't know if goes beyond that) and yes, I did know. :)

In this case, he named after the Estonian conductor, who (to bring things full circle!) is currently music director and chief conductor of the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra.

Ah, you're thinking of Solo, a poodle/mini-poodle/shi-tzu mix. Who is also far from a puppy, though he often behaves like one. :)
