My wishlist is pretty simple since it consists of one item: donations to Tufts University in sponsorship of my marathon journey. It's even 100% tax-deductible!

Training is especially challenging right now between the natural obstacles of cold, dark, and snow, and a certain other stressor keeping me up at night. The last couple of weeks have not been great for my progress and I need to turn that around starting today. A month ago I had no doubt that I could do this but right now I'm much less sure. Asking for support when I lack the requisite confidence is terribly difficult, but I have to do it and that's part of the challenge. I can hardly express my gratitude to those who have already helped.

This is me after last week's Jingle Bell Run. Yes, that was the outfit I wore for the race (minus the medal, which we got at the finish line). As is evident by the get-up, I didn't run it for time.

So, anyway, that's my wishlist. Well, that and Dominion: Seaside.

It won't let me pledge without giving away too much personal info, but there is a form I can mail a check to, and I will do so tonight :) I'm sort of squeezed right now so it'll probably just be $25 this time around.

And you can totally do it!

Thank you so much. :)

Oh, and also remember to check the company matching thingie (sorry to use such technical terms) which is a convenient form to see if your employer will match contributions.

Since I work for a nonprofit I'm pretty sure they don't do this (checked anyhow, nopers). Someday I will sell out, don't worry :)

Er...I hate giving personal info on the web...could I possibly just hand you money? Yuu could fill it out anyway you like (without using my name)...

You could definitely do that. If you'd like, I'm happy to do the online transaction on my credit card in person with you and you can fill in whichever parts you'd like. (I've already donated to myself, anyway.)

Thank you. :)

Hey there!

Just wanted to followup and ask if this actually happened and if you received acknowledgment from them or anything. I'm wondering because it hasn't shown up on my donation page so before I give anyone else the go-ahead to use the mail-in form, I want to make sure it really does work.. :]

Thanks!

HI, I did! And I believe they cashed the check, but I don't remember when (a while ago). I did not fill out any of my personal info on the form, however, so I don't know if that might have tripped things up.I think I actually dropped this off in the mailbox at the airport and things were hectic, so I might have not filled out much of the rest of the form either, though I thought I made sure to add your name.

Okay, I just called them to see if I could straighten things out, and they don't have you in their records. The woman I spoke to agreed that you calling would probably be better, so if you might be able to sometime soon, that'd be great. (I would imagine it'd be a quick process.) It's 1-866-351-5184.

Thanks so much. :)
